The Cutting Edge Jacket is one of our late summer pattern releases. It's popularity however started way back in May when we showed it at Portland Quilt Market. Everyone loved it and it's been a continual best seller! I can see why, with it's flattering shape and fun details.

One of the fun things about the Cutting Edge, is all the lapel and cuff detail options. You can see how it looks using a quilting stitch and the raw edges. Also, don't you love the large button below? IJ977CR-CuttingEdgeJacket-CrossroadsVersion

Here we have paired the Midtown Moss Crossroads Denim with a lapel and cuffs made from cotton (from our SoHo Bandana line). Again you can see the quilting and raw edge details, as well as the large snap closure. IJ977-Cutting Edge JacketIJ977-Cutting Edge Jacket

The pattern also has directions for a recycled denim version. Using the front and back of the denim to highlight there different shades is striking isn't it? And incorporating the back jeans pocket is a great idea. IJ977CR-CuttingEdgeJacket-RecycledVersionHave you made the Cutting Edge Jacket? How did you design the lapel and cuff? If you want to make it what are your ideas for it? We would love to hear!
