We've always admired Joel since his foray into the fabric market. His vintage chic prints, inspired by classic patterns and elements of nature, look great in our Midtown Trench (IJ866) pattern. You'll discover loads of creative ideas on his blog, managed by his wife, Laurie. Be sure to browse our website for more fun jacket patterns that would be ideal for Joel's fabric collections. What "wood" you do with this fabric?

Two years ago I created a mini-quilt for the Alzheimer’s Quilt Initiative. I was desperately trying to find fabric to create the wood floor of the scene (girl playing piano). Without finding anything suitable, I finally used sandy colored cotton and stitched lines to portray the wooden floor. It worked, but when I begin another one, I will definitely be interested in this fabric. (I want to do another mini-quilt like the first one — embroidered girl & piano, except the girl’s skirt and pettycoat — they were both created from layers of hankies.) It was a joy to support the Alzheimer’s Quilt Iniative, and I look forward to doing it again.
