We're moving! Look for Indygo Junction soon on Handicraft.com
Thanks to Liz at Simple Simon and Company for hosting today's stop on the Vintage Made Modern Blog Tour!
Today we are excited to be a part of the Indygo Junction’s Vintage Made Modern Centennial Celebration Fabric Tour. Indygo-Junction-Quilt Amy Barickman, the mastermind behind Indygo Junction, is releasing this month her fun new line of fabric that pays homage to the last century of women behind their sewing machines. Vintage-Made-MODERN-ij-1024x725And long with this line she has  some new coordinating denims….that I’m crazy about! Crossroadsfabriclogo And is actually what I used in my project today. When I first ordered my pistachio colored denim I was intending on making a jumper for Ruth but then after receiving it in the mail and feeling its buttery softness (seriously, it’s the softest denim I have ever felt) I switched gears. Reflecting on her fabric celebrating the last 100 years of sewing and seeing the delightful color in person I decided to make a quilt….mixing her modern fabric with some vintage fabric that I have been hoarding for several years now.  I loved the idea of her fabric showcased against vintage fabrics and went to town making a simple strip quilt to use next spring as a lawn quilt. Vintage-Made-Modern I know that 60’s polyester isn’t everyone’s jam…but it’s my jam…and so I love this. Especially with all that soft denim nestled between the indestructible fabric of the past.  It just makes me happy. I’m so glad that I got to be a part of this tour!  And if you want a chance to win not only some of this fabulous denim…but some other AMAZING prizes (like $2000 worth of prizes) pop on over to Amy’s blog HERE and enter to win. Good Luck! liZ PS:  I will be posting more about this quilt very soon… VMM 241x130 WIN BIG a Rafflecopter giveaway

Very cozy looking quilt! My grandma made quilts like that — very warm, and completely indestructable!
