Twice a year the quilting and fabric industry gather together for International Quilt Market. This is a wholesale show for store buyers only, who come to see the latest and greatest new releases in the pattern, fabric, and notions world. This year, we traveled to Spring Quilt Market in Minneapolis, where we debuted our 2015 line of 31 new patterns, as well as Amy's new fabric line, Vintage Made Modern Centennial Celebration. Amy, her mom Donna, Cheryl and Betsy represented Indygo Junction this year - decked out, of course, in all new patterns. Below you can see Cheryl and Amy in the Gathered Back Top & Tunic (both short and long versions), Donna in the Sophia Swing Coat and Betsy in the Sidekick Wrap Skirt.

Let Amy take you on a tour of Indygo's new products for 2015...

2016 will be the 100th anniversary of The Women's Institute of Domestic Arts & Sciences, whose collected works inspired Amy to write Vintage Notions: An Inspirational Guide to Needlework, Cooking, Sewing, Fashion & Fun. To mark the occasion, Amy has teamed with RJR Fabrics to create the Vintage Made Modern Centennial Celebration collection. This collection pairs the Institute's illustrations with contemporary colors to make a gorgeous new collection perfect for everything from home decor to garments.

When designing Vintage Made Modern, Amy kept in mind her Crossroads Denim line - she wanted the two to play together well. All three colorways of Vintage Made Modern coordinate with the denim. You can see how well the two work together in a garment, in the Modern Medley above, which combines our plaid with Metal Grey Crossroads Denim.

When we design our patterns, we always have an inkling of what will be the favorites, but you never really know until you hit market. This year garment patterns dominated - maybe because we increased our size range to 3XL? The Gathered Back Top & Tunic was the clear favorite, which was no surprise to us - it's our fav as well! Above, you can see Amy wearing the tunic length. The Sophia Swing Coat (seen above in Eggplant Crossroads and in a Cloud 9 Barkcloth on Donna) was also a must-have item. Jackets must be big this year, our Modern Medley (shown in Island Batik rayons) was also a hit. Of course aprons are ever popular - we are excited about the Origami Apron, shown in Cotton & Steel cotton/linen canvas. I hope you enjoyed the trip to market with us - we are very excited about our new patterns, and hope you feel the same. We will start getting the new patterns in stock next week, and hope to have everything available by the end of July.
